HR Recruit is currently seeking an experienced HR Advisor to work for our varied client in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire. Reporting into the HR Executive this is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to progress and grow their HR career. Working with the HR Assistant, you will also be working closely with the Directors as well as the senior team in this busy, fast paced role.

Role Responsibilities

  • Consulting Managers to establish recruitment needs and being aware of future planning requirements.
  • Overseeing and administering the recruitment and selection process for all staff.
  • Setting up the selection interviews and assisting managers in conducting the interview process.
  • Establishing and maintaining appropriate systems for measuring the necessary aspects of HR training and development.
  • Carrying out the employee induction programme, ensuring that all Health & Safety information is understood,
  • Ensuring that employee files are kept up to date and that Contracts of Employment are issued in a timely manner.
  • Managing and Co-ordinating annual Employee Appraisals.
  • Managing and developing the HR Assistant.
  • Working with the Executive HR Manager to ensure that all employee relation cases such as disciplinary, grievance and absent management are resolved using company processes.
  • Conducting back to work interviews with employees who have been absent for over 3 days and completing the necessary paperwork.
  • Carrying out exit interviews with staff leaving the company when appropriate.
  • Contributing to the evaluation and development of HR strategy and performance in co-operation with the executive team.
  • Using company records to track and monitor absenteeism and sickness throughout the company.

Person Specification

  • Comprehensive and practical knowledge of employment law
  • Generalist HR management experience
  • Strong analytical thinking and decision making
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, particularly those associated with influencing and persuading.
  • Sociably confident with strong verbal and written interpersonal skills.
  • Competent on Microsoft Office and HR systems

This is an excellent progression opportunity for an HR Officer or HR Advisor who wants to grow and develop. In return you will receive a salary of between £35,000-£40,000.
