HR Recruit have another HR Manager Vacancy for a Reading based client which is being handled by our South East team

Our client, a small design in Reading is looking to recruit an experienced part-time HR Manager. A standalone HR role you will report directly into the MD and be part of the senior leadership team. This is a hands-on role with great visibility within the business, and will give you the opportunity to add value and implement your own ideas whilst being the focal point of contact for HR within the business. The part-time hours are approx. 24-32 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

Ensuring that the HR system is kept up to date
Ensure the company is up to date with all ER laws and is following the correct processes and procedures
Suggest new ways to measure employee morale and determine methods for improving overall employee satisfaction
Maintain employee benefits programs
Manage payroll
Develop and implement a new training and development policy
Update and maintain company handbook
Responsible for full recruitment and talent management

Person specification

Comprehensive understanding of employment laws
Organisation, time management, prioritising and the ability to handle a complex, varied workload
Experienced HR Generalist
Good at building relationships
Ability to work autonomously and use your own initiative
Be resilient and confident to challenge the status quo
Previous experience in a stand-alone role would be an advantage
Experience of payroll would be a distinct advantage but not essential.

The holidays are 24 + bank holidays (pro rata) plus there are excellent benefits for the role. The working hours are flexible and the hours can be worked over 3, 4 or 5 days. The salary is 40-53K (pro rata). The higher salary is only available on 24 hours.
