HR Recruit have another Part-time HR Manager vacancy for a Manchester based client handled by our North West team.
I am delighted to be working with my client on a rare part time HR Manager opportunity. The role will be for a fixed 12-month contract to allow the company to trial the value that a professional HR Manager can bring to the organisation and so offers the possibility of becoming a permanent position. The role is offered on a part time basis with hours in the region of 22-26 hours based on candidate’s preference (start and finish times are flexible) and a full time equivalent salary of 34-36k. My client is a professional services provider with approx. 170 employees and 16 sites spread across the UK. The role will be based in Chorley (NR Preston) however may require infrequent trips to sites across the UK.
Key responsibilities of the role:
Support Managers with recruitment and on-boarding
Support and advise on all HR issues such as absence management, disciplinary and grievances.
Review compliance of all polices including staff handbook, HR polices, auto enrolment and GDPR compliance.
Support and manage the holiday request system
Take responsibility for Personnel files including preparing letters and contractual documentation.
Provide support with other adhoc issues such as Health and Safety and facilities management.
Review HR processes and suggest improvements
The ideal candidate will ideally possess:
CIPD Level 5 or equivalent
Be of a confident nature to gain buy in from senior managers to progress HR projects
Have previous experience of working in a stand-alone role
Strong understanding of UK employment law
A willingness to take on other duties that may not normally fall to a HR Manager.
Previous experience of TUPE would be advantageous however not essential.
