HR Recruit are currently seeking an experienced HR Advisor for our well-established rapidly expanding SME in Central London. Reporting into the Head of HR, this is an excellent opportunity to be able to use your initiative and contribute to a small HR team. There are development opportunities and this is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who wants to progress their HR career.
Key responsibilities
- To manage the disciplinary and grievance procedures: advising managers, supporting investigations
- Developing relationships with key stakeholders across the business
- Providing support and advice in accordance with legal and best practice requirements whilst being commercially aware of business needs.
- Assisting in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures and applying them fairly and consistently across the board.
- Coaching and mentoring managers to ensure an effective understanding of their role and responsibilities with regards to people policies & practices.
- Advising and supporting on employee relations, performance management and absence cases.
- Maintain an awareness and understanding of current HR legislative requirements as well as any proposed or future changes that may affect the Company.
- Assist with recruitment support when recruitment coordinator is on annual leave.
- Provide 1st Line HR Support for all employees.
Person Specification
- At least 3 years HR generalist experience
- Able to utilise previous HR experience to suggest ideas for improvement
- Excellent organisation and IT skills MS Office Outlook, Word and Excel
- Keen attention to detail
- Hands on and flexible approach
- Excellent understanding of UK employment law
- Self starter and able to work on own initiative but also to engage with the team as needed
The organisation has a family feel to the business and there are opportunities for progression. There is flexibility with start and finish times and the opportunity to work from home 2/3 days per week. The salary is £37,000-£40,000 (depending on experience) and generous benefits.
