HR Recruit have another Head of HR job vacancy for a Blackpool based client handled by our North West team.
My client is a leading manufacturer and supplier of high quality products with an ambitious growth strategy, and based on the outskirts of Blackpool. As part of the growth strategy they have identified a need to invest in their HR function and are looking to recruit an ambitious and motivated Head of Human Resources to build and drive the HR strategy. The role is offered with an attractive salary between £60,000 and £65,000 based on experience.
The focus of the role will be to deliver people management strategies in support of the organisations strategic aims. The role will have both a strategic and an operational focus: providing expert advice and support on all HR matters, whilst driving the people element of the business plan and developing the HR Team. The HHR will report directly into the COO.
Main duties
Design and implement HR strategy within the organisation.
Work closely with senior and middle management, providing expert guidance on a variety of HR matters.
Develop effective HR procedures and policies to reflect the business aims.
Design and implement value add HR projects in line with the business strategy.
Lead and develop the HR and recruitment team.
Evaluate and make recommendations on cost effective training and development programmes.
Provide meaningful HR management information; to support the senior management team to make informed decisions.
Develop and drive employee engagement.
Gather and evaluate market data to measure the organisations competitiveness for salary reviews.
Act as the externally facing representative for HR for the organisation.
The post holder will:
Have achieved MCIPD or FCIPD accreditation or equivalent.
Have a strong track record in HR generalist matters.
Have previous exposure to developing and implementing HR strategy
Possess thorough up to date knowledge of employment law.
Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Be a proficient user of technology.
Have the ability to work autonomously.
Be able to manage and prioritise multiple demands.
Be confident negotiating business arrangements with customers and suppliers.
Be able to travel nationally as required.
