HR Recruit have another Head of HR job vacancy for a Manchester based client handled by our North West team.

Our client who operates as a market leader in a niche retail sector is looking to recruit a dynamic Head of HR to join their Senior Leadership team. Based in South Manchester, you will have previous experience of working in a fast paced professional environment and a passion to implement HR best practice. The purpose of the role is to lead the vision, strategy and provide an efficient, effective and high quality professional HR management service. The jobholder will be expected to contribute at strategic level to identify HR priorities and recommend appropriate people management solutions which support the organisations aims, in addition to providing a fully integrated HR service across all locations across the UK.

Key Accountabilities

Develop, implement and drive the HR strategy to support the business strategy
Ensure the provision of accurate and timely advice and guidance to management at all levels on policies and procedures, pay, Terms and Conditions and employment legislation.
Ensure that HR best practice is developed and delivered at organisational, departmental and customer levels.
Ensure all HR procedures, policies and practices are developed in line with the Organisations strategic objectives.
Contribute to the Organisations emerging strategies in relation to recruitment and retention, workforce planning and talent management, and learning and development to develop the employee brand
Lead and coach the HR team
Oversee investigations and complex employee relations issues

Person Specification

Chartered membership of CIPD or equivalent experience
Degree qualification or equivalent in HR and evidence of continuing professional development.
Several years’ experience working in a HR role within a corporate organisation.
Line management of HR teams
Able to think strategically and develop a vision as well as work on own initiative
Ability to organise, lead and inspire other staff
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

The successful candidate will occasionally be required to travel to the other sites in the UK. In return, the candidate will receive a salary of between 60-65K plus other benefits based on experience.
