HR Recruit have another HR Manager Vacancy for a Birmingham based client which is being handled by our Midlands team

Our client, a logistics business on the outskirts of Birmingham is looking to recruit an experienced dynamic HR Manager for a newly created role. Accountable for a HR Administrator and reporting directly into the MD, this is a stand-alone hands-on role. The purpose of the role is to provide a dedicated service and HR support to the Company, ensuring operational excellence across all aspects of the HR function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise colleagues on employment law, company policy, and best practice
  • The development and implementation of new policies
  • Manage employee relations casework including dispute resolutions, disciplinaries, grievances, absence, retirement and redundancy;
  • Generate HR analytics reports to inform the business, improve retention and performance;
  • Support the recruitment process – this may include writing job descriptions and preparing interview questions and application forms etc;
  • Carry out new starter inductions
  • Establishing Performance Management and Staff Development structure
  • Manage the annual appraisal cycle;
  • Continuously monitor and review HR policies and processes and implement changes where necessary
  • Participate in the implementation of specific projects, procedures and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the organisation
  • Support change management processes

Person Specification

  • An under-graduate degree and be fully CIPD qualified
  • Proven HR generalist experience of three to five years is expected
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to successfully build and maintain long standing, effective and trusting relationships with key stakeholders within the business;
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to varying workloads;
  • The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines, and respond promptly using own initiative
  • Experience of working in a busy environment
  • Must have a can-do, common sense approach

The role is 40 hours per week and the hours are 8.30-5.30. There are 25 days holidays plus bank holidays and in return you will receive a salary of between 50-55K plus benefits (depending on experience).
