HR Recruit have another HR Officer Vacancy for a Newcastle based client which is being handled by our North East team
Our client in the service sector is looking to recruit an experienced Part-Time HR Officer for a 3-6 month period based in Ashington, Northumberland. There is a high probability that this role will become permanent.
Working closely with departments, assisting line managers to understand and implement policies and procedures.
Promoting equality and diversity as part of the organisations culture
Recruiting staff, which involves developing job descriptions and person specifications, preparing job adverts, checking application forms, shortlisting, interviewing and selecting candidates
Developing and implementing policies on issues like working conditions, performance management, equal opportunities, disciplinary procedures and absence management
Preparing employ handbooks
Advising on pay and other remuneration issues, including promotion and benefits
Developing HR planning strategies, which consider immediate and long term staff requirements
Planning and sometimes delivering training – including inductions for new staff
Analysing training needs in conjunction with departmental mangers
Staff welfare and planning company events for employees
Represent HR at senior level
Relevant higher education qualification e.g. Degree, Higher National Certificate / Diploma
Organisational skills and ability to understand detailed information
IT and numeracy skills, with strong IT skills required if managing/operating computerized payroll and benefits
In return the candidate will receive an hourly rate of between £14-£17 an hour. This is equivalent to a full time salary of 22-25K.
