HR Recruit have another HR Manager Vacancy for an Edinburgh based client which is being handled by our Scotland team
I am delighted to be representing my client who is niche luxury provider within the travel sector to resource an unusually exciting Head of HR opportunity. The role is offered with a salary up to 65k with a plethora of additional luxury benefits including agile working. The company is in a start-up stage with ambitious growth plans and is hoping to employ over 300 exceptionally skilled staff by 2019 to provide “a holiday of a lifetime” experience to its customers.
The are seeking an ambitious, energised and sociable Head of HR, to join their lively management team, based from their new Edinburgh head office located in a prime location on Princes Street. The role will involve international travel to luxury holiday destinations in the South of France, America, The Middle East and Australia and will require a confident individual who is comfortable networking in Elite circles. As the Head of HR, you will enjoy the challenge of building a HR department from the initiation stage; acting in a standalone capacity initially until HR support is established. This role will also be key in ensuring the smooth operational running of the business and recruitment of staff to ensure the successful launch of the brand in 2019.
This is a busy and varied role where you will have the opportunity to make a real impact, implementing all aspects of HR as the business grows.
Ensure the smooth management of all aspects of human resources, both operationally & strategically
Work across boundaries and cultures to ensure compliance in HR processes and procedures
Lead on manpower planning, recruitment & selection, budgeting, payroll & performance management
Lead on recruitment and resourcing campaigns in international locations
Coach, mentor and develop the senior leadership team to achieve their full potential.
Develop and implement company-wide human resource strategies and initiatives to achieve higher employee satisfaction, retention and development of talent
Ensure all company policies and procedures are up to date in line with current employment law
Dealing with disciplinary/grievance and HR issues, using HR and company knowledge whilst displaying appropriate decision-making skills
Instil company culture and ensure this is maintained throughout the growth of the business.
Qualifications and Skills
Must be MCIPD/FCIPD qualified or have significant demonstrable senior HR experience.
Ability to manage both strategic and operational HR activity, with robust decision-making capability.
Experience of coaching leaders through day to day issues.
Experience of operating in a standalone role preferred
Commercial Awareness and Acumen – ability to add value to the business in a broad capacity, not just HR.
Having a business focus with the ability to grasp quickly business context and impact
Candidates with experience working in Luxury Retail, Hospitality or Travel industry is preferred
Experience of working within a fast paced professional organisation
The role will suite Senior HR Business Partners, Senior HR Managers, Head of Human Resources, HR Directors looking for an exciting fast paced new challenge. My client will also provide relocation support to attract the right candidate.
