An exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional in this dynamic SME. Reporting into the Managing Director this is a hands-on role with a strategic aspect. The focus of this role will be to deliver people management strategies in support of the organisation’s strategic aims. The role will have both a strategic and operational, providing expert advice and support on all HR matters. The organisation is based in Crawley but has an international presence. You will be accountable for 1 HR/Payroll Administrator. The role is office based.
HR Responsibilities:
- Work in close partnership with senior management to prepare and implement HR strategy
- Design and work across HR projects
- Create and issue any contracts
- Support managers and team leaders on all recruiting matters
- Advise managers and provide guidance on HR policy and procedures
- Keep up to date with employment legislation in key territories across the group: UK, Belgium, Netherlands & Germany.
- Manage investigations and complex employee relations issues including redundancy and grievance
- Ensure employee relation cases are managed to meet best practice requirements
- Develop and maintain HR policies
- Monitor and develop performance appraisal systems
- Monitor all employee records to include maternity, paternity requests and absence and sickness and provide regular reports to the senior management team
- Manage HR personnel files to ensure they are kept up-to-date
- Develop starter and leaver procedures
- Gather and evaluate market data to measure the organisation’s competitiveness for salary reviews, compensation and benefits packages
- Implementation of HR system
- Work closely with payroll bureau/local company accountants to process bi-weekly and monthly payrolls
- Processing holiday, sick and maternity pay and expenses, calculating overtime, shift payments, bonus’ and pay increases
Person Specification
- Several years demonstrable experience of providing customer-centric HR partnering & support
- Proven HR generalist experience on both strategic and operational level
- Up-to-date knowledge of employment law in the UK
- Experience of working for an European organisation or a company that has European offices
- Ability to work autonomously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional planning and project management skills and experience
In return you will receive a salary of 55-60K (depending on experience) a bonus.
